Inspiring Faculty, dedicated Staff

The faculty at the Waldorf School of Garden City are models for the kind of people we hope to graduate: bright, relentlessly curious, and cross-culturally fluent. They are committed teachers and scholars - people who want to help you develop personally and intellectually.

We cannot say enough about how profoundly your teachers will affect your life. Because of our size and small classes, you will get to know your teachers as human beings, and in turn, they will get to know you.

After graduating from our school in 1997, Robert attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. where he was a recipient of their Filene Music Scholarship. An avid pianist, he earned his bachelor's in anthropology and music with a minor in international affairs and graduated magna cum laude in 2001. He subsequently pursued a one-year United States Fulbright Scholarship to study anthropology in the Philippines. Upon his return to the United States, Robert pursued graduate studies for three years in cultural anthropology at the University of Washington. While there, he also produced newsletters and managed the website for the Southeast Asia Center. In addition to managing the school's website, Robert is chief editor of content and format for The News, The Annual Report, The Monthly Calendar and various electronic newsletters for our alumni and current family communities.
