Inspiring Faculty, dedicated Staff

The faculty at the Waldorf School of Garden City are models for the kind of people we hope to graduate: bright, relentlessly curious, and cross-culturally fluent. They are committed teachers and scholars - people who want to help you develop personally and intellectually.

We cannot say enough about how profoundly your teachers will affect your life. Because of our size and small classes, you will get to know your teachers as human beings, and in turn, they will get to know you.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Pam studied business administration at Pace University. Her experience in administration, marketing and sales led to an interest in social reform which she pursued by studying art and photojournalism at Hunter College and the New School for Social Research. At the same time, she freelanced as a set designer, photo assistant and studio manager for a group of photographers in Chelsea, N.Y. In 1986, she learned of Waldorf education while contemplating possible schools for her growing brood. Prior to joining the preschool faculty at the Waldorf School of Garden City, Pam helped launch the first Waldorf Kindergarten in Brooklyn, N.Y. She is a graduate of the two year Foundation Studies program and in 2000 earned her Waldorf early childhood certification at Sunbridge College. In 1997, she helped to launch our parent child program and has been a lead kindergarten teacher ever since.
