Inspiring Faculty, dedicated Staff

The faculty at the Waldorf School of Garden City are models for the kind of people we hope to graduate: bright, relentlessly curious, and cross-culturally fluent. They are committed teachers and scholars - people who want to help you develop personally and intellectually.

We cannot say enough about how profoundly your teachers will affect your life. Because of our size and small classes, you will get to know your teachers as human beings, and in turn, they will get to know you.

Born and raised on Long Island, Pat attended Trinity College and earned a bachelor's in history. In 2003, she earned a certificate in Waldorf early childhood education at Sunbridge College in Chestnut Ridge, N.Y. Pat learned about the Waldorf School in 1982 while searching for a school for her eldest daughter. "I wanted my children to have an education that understood child development, fostered creativity and had a rich artistic and musical background. I wanted them to love learning for its own sake." An active volunteer and parent association representative while all six of her children attended the school, Pat joined the preschool faculty in 1997. Since then, she has served on the Faculty Council and is currently a member of the College of Teachers.
