In their first semester senior year, students meet with their college counselor as frequently as one or two times per week as they complete their college applications. The counselor provides assistance in all aspects of the application process.
"Waldorf education addresses the child as no other education does. Learning, whether in chemistry, mathematics, history or geography is imbued with life and so with joy which is the only true base for later study. By the time they reach us at the college level, these students are grounded proudly and deeply and have a remarkable enthusiasm for learning. Such students possess the eye of the discoverer, and the compassionate heart of the reformer which, when joined to a task, can change the planet.”
--Arthur Zajonc, Ph.D., Physics Professor, Amherst College
Our school's approach to the college planning process is highly personalized and student-centered. We believe it is appropriate for each student to make mindful decisions that are informed by accurate self insight and thorough exploration. While we want our students to attend reputable colleges and universities, our ultimate intention is that each student selects a school that is the very best choice based on personal needs. Education at Waldorf is about nurturing the individual. We want that tradition and environment to continue during our graduates’ developmental college years. The current Waldorf College Profile reflects a comprehensive list of colleges and universities where our students have been accepted over the last several years. It is indeed a very impressive listing of institutions, and we are extremely proud of the recognition our faculty, curriculum and student achievement have garnered.
