Shane graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's from Adelphi University and also earned a master’s from Long Island University – C.W. Post Campus. Over the years, he has coached and taught at Chickasha High School in Oklahoma, the Garden City Middle School, and the Stewart Avenue Elementary School. His academic awards and achievements include the Helen Sedelmeyer Award for Excellence in Student Teaching as well as membership in Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Phi Elison Kappa Honor Society, and Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society. He completed his intercollegiate soccer career with C.W. Post's men's soccer team - where he was named most valuable player (MVP) during the 2010 East Coast Conference (ECC) Championship. A certified New York State physical education teacher, Shane looks forward to bringing his wealth of knowledge and passion to the Waldorf’s Middle School Boys Soccer Team and Middle School Girls Softball Team.
After graduating from the Waldorf School of Garden City in 2004, Marcus Boyd attended Southampton College where he played on the Men’s Basketball Team. He then transferred to the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University where he was an NCAA Division II athlete in basketball. Over the years, he has coached basketball and hosted a wide variety of basketball training sessions for all ages and skill levels. In July of 2011, Marcus was ranked 5th in the Long Island Lighting-Pursoo Team of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Division 2 Nationals. When he is not playing or coaching basketball, Marcus works in the corporate headquarters of Lifetime Brands, Inc. – North America’s leading resource for national branded kitchenware, tabletop, home décor and lifestyle products. He is also certified in first aid, automated external defibrillator (AED), and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
