Waldorf Celebrates 53rd Commencement

The Class of 2012 received high school diplomas at the 53rd Annual Commencement Exercises on Friday, June 15th. The keynote commencement address – chosen by the graduating class – was given by High School English teacher Deirdre Somers. In addition, senior class co-advisors Victor Kim and Emmie Yaeger addressed the graduates and their guests. Lauren Gray, Jared Hescheles and Erin Stuckenbruck were chosen by their classmates as class speakers.

We congratulate the Class of 2012 and welcome them as Waldorf’s newest group of alumni. Be sure to check this website in the coming week as we’ll post more photos, speeches and video from the day’s festiviites.

Interesting Waldorf tidbit: At 19 students, the class of 2012 brings the total number of Waldorf graduates to 1,009! During the commencement, High School Chairman Roland Rothenbucher informed the gathering that Andrea Lorenzo ’12 was the school’s 1,000th graduate!
