Friends and supporters of the Waldorf School of Garden City gathered at the home of Andres and Angela Patino – current parents and residents of Huntington – on Thursday, October 6th for the school’s Benefactors Reception. This annual event is an opportunity to thank members of the community for their generous leadership support of the Annual Fund. Guests enjoyed reflections and comments by Board Chair Mr. Jay Dorman and the School’s Director of Development Mrs. Marjorie P. Jean-Paul. In addition, everyone received special “succulent dish gardens” created by Waldorf alumna Jennifer Dorman ’95.

“We have a community we can all be proud of,” said Mr. Dorman, “I look forward to continuing that tradition this coming year!” In addition, Mrs. Jean-Paul announced a special challenge match opportunity for this year’s Annual Fund. A group of parent donors have committed $20,000 to match all increased and new donations to the School dollar-for-dollar. “Double your gift, triple your impact! By increasing the amount you gave last year,” said Jean-Paul, “you can triple your benefit to the School through this special match.”
