Waldorf in Boston

On Wednesday September 19th, the Waldorf School of Garden City co-hosted a networking event with the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and twelve other Waldorf schools from the Northeast. Over 60 people came together to mingle and network at Lucky’s Lounge in Boston where Luke Beardslee, a graduate of the Monadnock Waldorf School, is the Executive Chef. Mr. Beardslee prepared a delicious menu that included turkey and vegetable pinwheel wraps, baked spinach-artichoke dip, and sliders.

In attendance were former assistant librarian and long-time friend of the our School David W. White, former Business Manager Charles Hawthorne and former High School Secretary Jeanne Hawthorne along with several alumni including Josh Blumenthal ’99, Jacqueline Giordano-Hayes ’01, Charles Rose ’78 and Tom Walsh ’00.

Marjorie Jean-Paul, Director of Development at the Waldorf School of Garden City said, “Having had networking events in New York and Washington D.C., this Boston event marked the third time our School collaborated with AWSNA and the other Waldorf schools from the northeast. It’s great having alumni from different decades and different schools come together and share their Waldorf experiences. In addition, they gain valuable networking experience. We look forward to planning more networking events in the years to come!”
