Waldorf Night at Citi Field

Members of the Waldorf School of Garden City community gathered at Citi Field this past Wednesday, June 15, at 7:10 pm, not only to watch the NY Mets face off against the Pittsburg Pirates, but also to support the School’s fundraising efforts. More than 200 students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends came out to support the School (many sporting their Waldorf apparel) and enjoy a beautiful evening of baseball.

Waldorf families were able to purchase tickets at a discounted price with a portion of the proceeds going towards the School’s Annual Fund. Development Director, Marjorie Jean-Paul was thrilled to see the turn out:

“It was great to see so many of our community members come together to show their School pride and support our fundraising efforts while having a great time together!” said Jean-Paul.

One of the highlights of the evening came when our own Isaac Stumme ’18 threw out the Ceremonial First Pitch of the game to catcher Will Strauss ‘16. Boris Epie ’18, Peter Le Porin ’17 and Sean Sullivan ’18 (Pictured above), current members of the Waldorf School Varsity Baseball team, also represented Waldorf on the field.
