Waldorf Student Receives Making a Difference High School Scholarship Award from NEFCU

The Waldorf School of Garden City is pleased to announce that Waldorf senior Mikayla Ver Pault received the Making a Difference High School Scholarship Award from the Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) for outstanding academic excellence and community service. The $500 was presented to Mikayla on Wednesday, May 27th.

During her free time, Mikayla has volunteered for many years at her church and is currently being trained as a lay Eucharistic minister. A star soccer player, she has volunteered as a coach for an 8-week long summer soccer clinic. An excellent all around student, her achievements in German language are superior. She scored 4th of 132 Level IV German students on Long Island on the American Association of Teachers of German National Exam, and her lead performance in Hansel and Gretel at the 38th Annual German Theatre Festival and Competition at Mount Holyoke College earned 1st place. Mikayla is thrilled to be attending Tufts University as a first-year student in the fall.
