Waldorf Students, Teachers, and Staff Prepare for Back-to-School

With a handful of days to go before the official start of classes, many Waldorf students have already made their presence known on campus this past week. Pre-season soccer practice began on August 24th for Waldorf’s boys’ and girls’ varsity soccer teams. Yesterday, students in Waldorf’s freshman and senior classes departed for Camp Glen Brook – the Waldorf School’s 250-acre extension campus located in southwestern New Hampshire – to take part in the annual high school orientation program. (The trip had to be delayed due to the remnants of Hurricane Irene.) And today incoming middle school students (grades 6 through 8) and their parents will attend a middle school orientation to become more acquainted with the Waldorf curriculum and school culture. Teachers will return tomorrow and Friday for day-long faculty meetings– all in preparation for the official start of classes on Tuesday, September 6th.
