Waldorf Watch: 4th Grader Jacob Levitt Shaves Head to Benefit Cancer Research

This March, 4th Grader Jacob Levitt is doing his part to combat childhood cancer. In association with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Jacob will be shaving his head to raise money for research into fighting the illness.

This will be Jacob’s fourth year shaving his hair to raise money for the organization. In preparation, Jacob grows his hair out almost all year to raise awareness and share his commitment to trying to help find a cure to childhood cancer.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation is an international organization that raises money for childhood cancer research, every year they have over 1,000 head shaving events around the world to raise funds and spread awareness. According to their website, head shaving not only spreads awareness but also shows those suffering from the disease that they are supported.

The School is proud of Jacob for his commitment to helping others, in keeping with our mission of facing the world with purpose, gratitude, and respect. We wish him luck in his fundraising efforts.
