Congratulations to ninth grader, Fangzhou “Frank” Ye who won first prize in the inaugural Beijing International Fryderic Chopin competition. The prestigious competition featured young pianists between the ages of 12-26 and honored the many interpretations of Chopin’s work from around the world. The musicians competed in multiple rounds before proceeding to the finals. Frank Ye and the junior group concentrated on lesser known pieces. The competition was held in Beijing from October 17-30.
