Waldorf Watch: Long Island Moot Court Competition 2019

This year, four Waldorf students were selected to participate in the Annual Nassau County Moot Court Competition at the Suffolk County Courthouse on November 18th.

Over the course of five weeks, Stephanie Marshall (10th), Sophia Conrad (11th), Sanaalee Troupe (10th), and Esandi Perera (10th) went above and beyond their regular classroom studies to explore the world of law as they prepared to present a case, given to them by Fordham Law School, in front of judges.

By writing speeches, reading cases, creating their own case briefs, and working alongside lawyers, our students gained insight into the working lives of legal professionals. Furthermore, students learned how to develop persuasive arguments, and how to properly respond to questions asked by a judge.

We would like to congratulate the students for their hard work preparing and participating in the competition!
