Welcome!

The Waldorf School of Garden City was established in 1947. We were only a Pre-School with two kindergarten classes back then, but over the years the School has grown – each year adding a new grade – and finally in 1960 the School’s first-class graduated from our High School. Since that first High School graduation, Waldorf has sent over 1,000 graduates into the world to attend many different colleges and universities as well as pursue a variety of career paths. Waldorf alumni take an active role in The Waldorf School of Garden City. Through regular events, such as the Alumni Weekend/Fall Fair (October), Carol Sing (December), and the Alumni Basketball Game & Community Three-Point Contest (January), alumni actively engage in the ongoing life of the School community. In recent years, Waldorf has hosted regional events in California, New York City, Maryland, Boston, and Philadelphia to connect alumni with each other in their local communities. Waldorf’s social media presence (on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube) – as well as the School’s monthly Waldorf E-Newsletter – are just some of the resources alumni can use in order to engage with the School and with each other. In addition to these efforts, college-age alumni receive care packages around the holidays.
