Kathleen McCarthy
1st Grade Teacher
Kathleen McCarthy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Special Education from the University of Delaware and a Masters of Education from Hofstra University. In addition, she has an Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Hunter University and is a graduate of the Sunbridge Institute Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher Certification Program.
As an elementary public school teacher, Ms. McCarthy taught for 9 years in Queens and for two years held a leadership role in the ADS Nest program, a program designed to serve the needs of students with disabilities. Prior to taking on the role of Class Teacher, Kathleen was a Kindergarten Assistant at The Waldorf School of Garden City.
