Roland Rothenbucher earned his Bachelor’s from Hamilton College and his Master’s from Middlebury College. He holds a Waldorf High School Teaching Certification from the Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks, California, and holds a New York State Permanent Teaching Certificate.

Roland joined the Waldorf School of Garden City faculty in 1979.  He has been Chair of the High School since 1996.  In addition to teaching German, Roland has been an advisor to the classes of 1983, 1986, 1989, 1993, and 1998.

Roland’s interests include studies in the Florentine Renaissance, Sanskrit, and practical philosophy.  He loves hiking, biking, and tending his raspberry patch.
