Philip Karnofsky ‘02
Phil Karnofsky ’02 is an attorney and comedian living in New York City. Phil has worked in the private sector and for the Federal government, advising on technology issues, intellectual property, product counseling, and privacy. Most recently, he helped lead Meetup, Inc. to acquisition by WeWork.
Phil founded FUNNY HOW (meetup.com/funnyhow), a workshop that provides lessons on comedy writing and standup performance to comics of all levels.
Phil graduated from The Waldorf School of Garden City in 2002, where he played a leading role in the H.M.S. Pinafore under the direction of George V. Rose. He studied Communication and Information Technology at Cornell University and earned a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School. Phil’s siblings, Nate Karnofsky ‘99, Rebecca Karnofsky ‘02, and Angelica Karnofsky ‘07, also graduated from The Waldorf School of Garden City.
