Playground Beautification Project

dsc_4863

Even before the school year began this past Tuesday, September 6th,  Parents and Faculty were hard at work preparing the School for the new year. On Sunday, September 4th, The Waldorf School of Garden City’s second grade class teacher, Mrs. Mary Beth Thomas and a team of 7 parents, volunteered their time to renovate and beautify the School’s playground for the Lower School students. The commitment and dedication of parents like these are just some of the many benefits of belonging to our special community. This new safe space will provide countless hours of enjoyment for our students. Many thanks to our generous and supportive parents: Lisa & Rich Richards, Noelle & Stephen Zuckerbrot, Rosalind Horne, Colleen & John Comerford,  and Gina D’Addario. Special thanks to Mrs. Thomas for her work organizing the project.

See pictures of the project here.
