On Saturday, March 12th, the Long Island chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) held its annual Sprachfest, a language festival fostering the learning and sharing of German language skills and cultural events. Garden City High School hosted this year’s event. The Waldorf School of Garden City participated with students from the 7th through 12th grades under the guidance of Ms. Juliane Schneider. Besides the academic competitions, this year’s Sprachfest was filled with cultural events such as skits, baked goods and a display of gingerbread houses, visual artwork and music, complimented by raffles and voting for next year’s Sprachfest T-Shirts.
