On October 2^nd 2016, Waldorf Junior, Rena Ikenishi was named Regional Junior Figure Skating Champion for the North Atlantic Region! Skaters competed in the North Atlantic Regional Figure Skating Championships from Sept. 28 to Oct. 2 in Williamsville, New York.

Rena and the other top 3 performers will go on to compete against the top 4 performers from the New England and South Atlantic Regions during the Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships  November 16-20, 2016 at the Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, North Carolina. From there the Top 4 move on to the National Competition.

Earlier this year, Rena had received a Gold Medal for her short and long programs at the 2016 Empire State Winter Games in Lake Placid, New York.
