Waldorf Watch: Harry and Joanna Seremetis Participate in Times Square Martial Arts Display

Last weekend, Waldorf students, Joanna (Grade 9) and Harry (Grade 11) Seremetis participated in the 9th annual World Taekwondo Education Foundation’s (WTEF) NY Taekwondo Festival in Times Square. Started in 2008, the festival represents winning teams from 400 schools, including the wining team from the Taekwondo World Championship!

Harry and Joanna participated in the event with Park’s Martial Arts, in Long Beach, where they have been studying Taekwondo for 8 years. Both have reached the level of second degree black belt (the 3rd highest rank), and are members of the school’s demonstration team. This was their first year participating in the NY Festival.

You can see a video from the event here. Congrats to Harry and Joanna for this exciting opportunity to show their skills!
