Waldorf Watch: Junior Isaac Stumme Named Among The Best Boys Basketball Players on Long Island

Congratulations to Junior Isaac Stumme for being named one of the best basketball players on Long Island in 2017 by LI Basketball.com!

According to Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Marcus Boyd, Isaac has been a tremendous asset to the team since the beginning. “As a freshman, Isaac had an immediate impact on the basketball program, filling the crucial point guard position. Each year Isaac grows as a teammate and player,” he said. This past season Isaac was the leading scorer for the team averaging 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists per-game. “In addition to Isaac’s scoring ability, he is a very passionate and selfless player. He approaches the game with 110 percent effort and his love for the game shows in all that he does. I look forward to seeing his continued growth and leadership next season,” said Coach Boyd.

Isaac has attended The Waldorf School of Garden City since Preschool. In addition to being an excellent student and athlete, Isaac also participates in the Model UN Club, and serves as a member of the stage crew for the School’s theatrical productions, most recently he was in charge of lighting for In the Heights.
