Once high school students are dismissed from School at the end of the day and leave the School grounds, The Waldorf School of Garden City is no longer responsible for their safety.  Students who remain on campus after dismissal are expected to sign-in with the supervisor of the activity they are participating in, such as the Afternoon Care Program or sports. Students who leave and return to campus to participate in a School-sponsored after-school activity, must check in with the activity supervisor so they can be properly supervised.  The School is not in a position to be responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety of students who remain on or return to campus to “hang out” or watch sporting events without signing-in.
